Lafarge Tarmac

Lafarge Tarmac were asked by Network Rail to consider the movement of one of their large terminals from the ‘fast line’ side of the main line to the ‘slow line’ side to increase route capacity and operational resilience. Railfreight Consulting produced a costed design and delivery timeline and looked at the wider scheme benefits to develop an overall business case for the scheme.

Through this process the aggregate company were able to demonstrate they had a developed a robust and fully costed solution developed by experienced practitioners. We then supported the company in their negotiations with Network Rail which led to the inclusion of infrastructure changes into the future route development plan.
